Justin Rose Makes Strides in Round 2 of PGA Championship”
As Round 2 of the PGA Championship kicked off at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York, Justin Rose showcased an impressive performance, climbing up the leaderboard. The competitive opening round resulted in a crowded field at the top.
On Thursday, Bryson DeChambeau, a star from the LIV Golf, took the clubhouse lead with a score of 4-under 66. However, an early-morning frost delay interrupted play, leaving some golfers unable to complete their rounds. Eric Cole, a PGA Tour newcomer, briefly held the lead at 5-under through 14 holes before play was suspended due to darkness.
In the second round, DeChambeau regained the lead without even picking up a club, as Cole encountered a double-bogey on his first hole of the morning. This placed Cole in a tie for second with Corey Conners, Dustin Johnson, and Scottie Scheffler, all at 3-under.
